Elbow pain: tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, tendonitis, repetitive strain
Treatment consists of shock wave, scrapping, microcurrent and laser. Generally treatment is done one time per week for 8 weeks. The shock wave will cause the damaged tendon to heal again by stimulating the body to grow another capillary bed. The increased blood supply delivered by these new capillaries is needed for the proper function of the tendon. Acupuncture may also be used as it is a very effective adjunct treatment for this condition.

Shoulder Pain:  “frozen shoulder”, tendonitis such as supraspinatus or biceps, subacromial bursitis

Knee Pain:  torn meniscus, patellar tendinopathy, shin splints, baker’s cyst
Treatment consists of shock wave, scrapping, microcurrent and laser. Generally treatment is done one time per week for 8 weeks. The shock wave will cause the damaged tendon to heal again by stimulating the body to grow another capillary bed. The increased blood supply delivered by these new capillaries is needed for the proper function of the tendon. Acupuncture may also be used as it is a very effective adjunct treatment for this condition.

Ankle and Foot Pain: Heel spurs AKA plantar fasciitis, Morton's neuroma, chronic instability of the ankle/foot , Achilles tendonitis, Tarsal tunnel Syndrome

Hip pain: trochanteric bursitis or tendonitis
Treatment consists of shock wave, scrapping, microcurrent and laser. Generally treatment is done one time per week for 8 weeks. The shock wave will cause the damaged tendon to heal again by stimulating the body to grow another capillary bed. The increased blood supply delivered by these new capillaries is needed for the proper function of the tendon. Acupuncture may also be used as it is a very effective adjunct treatment for this condition.

Thumb pain: tendonitis or De Quervain's tendonitis
Treatment consists of shock wave, scrapping, microcurrent and laser. Generally treatment is done one time per week for 8 weeks. The shock wave will cause the damaged tendon to heal again by stimulating the body to grow another capillary bed. The increased blood supply delivered by these new capillaries is needed for the proper function of the tendon. Acupuncture may also be used as it is a very effective adjunct treatment for this condition.

Hand pain: tendonitis, trigger finger
Treatment consists of shock wave, scrapping, microcurrent and laser. Generally treatment is done one time per week for 8 weeks. The shock wave will cause the damaged tendon to heal again by stimulating the body to grow another capillary bed. The increased blood supply delivered by these new capillaries is needed for the proper function of the tendon. Acupuncture may also be used as it is a very effective adjunct treatment for this condition.

Chronic ligament tears/ sprains or joint instability
Treatment consists of shock wave, scrapping, microcurrent and laser. Generally treatment is done one time per week for 8 weeks. The shock wave will cause the damaged tendon to heal again by stimulating the body to grow another capillary bed. The increased blood supply delivered by these new capillaries is needed for the proper function of the tendon. Acupuncture may also be used as it is a very effective adjunct treatment for this condition.

Costochondritis
Treatment consists of direct osteopathic manipulation of the sternum and ribs using still, muscle energy, counter strain or balance ligamentous tension techniques. Modalities are also included such as microcurrent and laser therapy, which both speed up healing, recovery time and reduce pain and inflammation. Acupuncture is also very effective for this condition.

Jaw Pain (Temporomandibular joint disorder - TMJ)
TMJ pain and dysfunction are treated using osteopathic manipulation techniques such as craniosacral, balance ligamentous tension, and myofascial release. Acupuncture can also be a very effective treatment. Additional modalities such as microcurrent and laser therapy, can be used to speed up healing and recovery time while reducing pain and inflammation.

Tail bone pain (coccyx)
This can be quite a debilitating type of problem. Direct manipulation of the tail bone or coccyx is done when there is malalignment (misalignment). This type of manipulation is done through clothing and would consist of techniques such as counter strain, balance ligamentous tension technique, joint pumping or muscle energy.  Additional modalities such as microcurrent and laser therapy, can be used to speed up healing and recovery time while reducing pain and inflammation.

Sacroiliac joint pain or dysfunction
This can come in the form of a mechanical dysfunction and where ligaments have become chronically torn as a result of shearing.  Direct manipulation of the sacroiliac joint is required using techniques such as muscle energy, still, balance ligamentous tension or counter strain.  Additional modalities such as microcurrent and laser therapy, can be used to speed up healing and recovery time while reducing pain and inflammation. A Shock Wave treatment protocol (one time/week for 8 weeks) is also needed when the ligaments have been chronically torn. The combination of treatments will stimulate the body to grow more blood supplying capillaries in the affected area so that the ligaments can start functioning properly again.
